Britcon has reinforced its position as a leading civil engineering and transport infrastructure specialist after securing three new contract awards with Associated British Ports (ABP) at the Port of Immingham. The latest appointments follow the successful completion of the Pad 4 Regeneration project and will see Britcon deliver a programme of strategically important infrastructure works comprising Flood Defence Improvements, the IEG7 Multi Storage Site, and Shed 23.
The projects further strengthen a relationship spanning more than two decades, during which Britcon has successfully delivered a diverse range of civil engineering, infrastructure and industrial developments across ABP’s port estate.
As one of the UK’s most significant logistics and maritime hubs, the Port of Immingham presents unique engineering challenges, requiring contractors with proven experience of working within live operational environments, adjacent to water and under stringent safety requirements. Britcon’s specialist civil engineering team has built a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure schemes that enhance operational resilience while minimising disruption to critical port activities.
The award of the Flood Defence Improvements project reflects Britcon’s growing expertise in delivering infrastructure that protects assets against the increasing risks associated with climate change and extreme weather events. Alongside this, the IEG7 Multi Storage Site and Shed 23 projects will support the continued development of port facilities, creating infrastructure that strengthens capacity and supports future growth.

Through early contractor involvement and the use of Google Design Sprint workshops, the team has worked closely with ABP to identify efficiencies, mitigate risks and maximise value throughout the design and construction process.
