Health and Safety: Our Commitment to Safety

At Britcon, safety is not just a priority, it is a core value embedded in everything we do. We believe that all incidents are preventable, and we are committed to ensuring that every person returns home safe every day.
Our safety culture is driven by strong leadership, clear accountability and active engagement from every member of our workforce. We operate in full compliance with UK health and safety legislation and continually strive to achieve best practice across all projects, protecting our employees, supply chain partners, clients and the public.
Our commitment to health, safety and wellbeing has also been recognised through independent industry awards, including a 2026 RoSPA Gold Award and a 2026 British Safety Council International Safety Award with Distinction.

Our Approach

Our approach to safety is built on proactive risk management, behavioural safety and continuous improvement.
We identify hazards early, manage risk effectively and empower our teams to challenge unsafe practices. Safety is embedded at every stage of project delivery through thorough planning, Construction Phase Plans, regular inspections, audits and real-time reporting systems.
We promote a culture in which everyone has the authority to stop work if conditions are unsafe, ensuring that risks are controlled before incidents occur. Lessons learned are shared across the business to strengthen performance and drive continual improvement.
