Britcon is proud to have joined forces with its client Chesterfield Waterside (Bolsterstone Group PLC and Chesterfield Borough Council), Bond Bryan Architects, and MEP subcontractor H E Barnes Ltd. to support Chesterfield Foodbank with a donation of essential food items.
Together, the team raised and donated £530 worth of food supplies to help provide emergency food packs for individuals and families facing hardship in the local area. The donation forms part of a wider commitment to supporting the community surrounding the Chesterfield Waterside development.
Chesterfield Foodbank, part of The Trussell Trust network, plays a vital role in supporting people in crisis. With over 420 foodbanks across the UK, the charity works tirelessly to ensure that no one goes hungry due to circumstances such as unemployment, low income, illness or unexpected life challenges.
Councillor Tricia Gilby, Leader of Chesterfield Borough Council, commented:
