Britcon is proud to confirm that it has successfully met Year 2 targets of its carbon reduction plan, as certified by Planet Mark, a leading sustainability accreditation body. This achievement marks another important step in Britcon’s journey toward long-term environmental responsibility and net zero goals.
Between October 2021 and September 2022, Britcon recorded:
- A 7.5% absolute carbon reduction
- A 25.8% carbon reduction per employee
These results reflect the company’s continued efforts to embed sustainability into its operations, driven by a combination of strategic initiatives and employee engagement. Key actions included:
- Strengthening sustainable procurement practices
- Running internal “Switch It Off” energy awareness campaigns
- Improving fleet management to reduce emissions
- Promoting behavioural change to minimise waste and resource use
