Britcon was appointed by Maple Grove Developments to deliver the design and construction of a new district centre in Hattersley, Tameside. The £11 million scheme spans approximately 57,000 sq ft and forms a key part of the wider regeneration of the area. The mixed use development has been designed to enhance local amenities and support economic growth, providing a combination of retail, leisure and employment space within a well connected and landscaped environment.

The project comprised the full design and build of a multi unit development across a 5.5 acre site. Key elements included the construction of a new Aldi food store, a Costa Coffee café with drive through facilities, and up to eight employment units to support local businesses. Extensive external works were undertaken, including the creation of 179 customer car parking spaces and carefully considered landscaping to complement the surrounding environment. In addition, the project involved 278 highway works, installation of new incoming services, and the provision of 16 electric vehicle charging points to support sustainable transport. Groundworks included land remediation and significant cut and fill operations to prepare the site. Britcon delivered both civils and building works, ensuring full integration across all elements of the scheme.
