We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Student Services Hub refurbishment at Kirklees College, delivering a modern, inclusive building environment designed to enhance the overall student experience.
Delivered to a value of £1.2 million over a 13 week programme, the project has transformed the existing atrium into a welcoming and functional space that better supports the needs of both students and staff. The new hub provides a central point for support services, creating a more cohesive and accessible environment at the heart of the college campus.
The refurbishment includes a wide range of high quality facilities, including a new reception area, dedicated careers guidance spaces, multi faith rooms, safeguarding offices, and modern office environments. Each element has been carefully designed to promote wellbeing, encourage engagement, and ensure accessibility for all users, supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The scope of works was comprehensive and required a coordinated approach to delivery. Works included demolition, bespoke joinery, glazed partitioning, suspended ceilings, new flooring, and the installation of upgraded mechanical and electrical systems. The result is a contemporary and efficient building space that reflects the college’s commitment to providing high quality facilities for its students.
