Britcon (UK) Ltd, along with Redcar and Cleveland College, AA Projects, GenNorth, and Billinghurst George and Partners, provided support with approximately 30 volunteers to help clean up South Gare Beach in Teesside on Friday. The initiative also included the South Gare Litter Pickers and other supporting businesses.
The South Gare Litter Pickers do an incredible job in the local Redcar and Cleveland area, engaging in multiple litter-picking initiatives. Britcon was delighted to support this great cause as part of our commitment to giving back to the area and the community. Currently, Britcon is completing three individual projects locally with Redcar and Cleveland College and Bishopsgarth Outwood Academy.
Throughout the day, volunteers removed fly-tipped concrete from the road, tyres, and large pieces of waste (plastic and timber) from the beach. They also managed to fill several bin bags of rubbish. This community initiative gave us the opportunity to engage in further corporate social responsibility efforts, and we look forward to participating in future events.
It was a fantastic day spent in the sunshine, working alongside our client from Redcar and Cleveland College, colleagues, and volunteers.
Many thanks to the South Gare Litter Pickers for the opportunity!
