Britcon Opens Doors to Bishopsgarth Academy

Britcon were proud to host an “Open Doors” event at our Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth project on Tuesday the 12th June 2023. 

Open Doors is an industry-wide initiative that allows anyone interested in a career in construction to find out what goes on behind the hoardings and to showcase the exciting range of careers available in construction.

The event was well received by the student and staff from the academy, who were given the opportunity to see the progress on their new school facility and talk to different disciplines within the Britcon team.  

What makes this event and construction project even more special, is that Jason Henderson our Project Manager attended this school (formally known as Bishopgarth Comprehensive) between 1984 and 1989. Jason added "I'm so proud to showcase our build, it means so much to me explaining the different routes into the construction industry, particulary as a former pupil"
