We are delivering Section 278 highway improvement works at Highfield Spring in Waverley, Rotherham, supporting enhanced infrastructure, safety, and accessibility for the local community through our civil engineering capability.
The project is being undertaken on behalf of Harworth Estates, with works commencing on site in October 2025 and delivered over a nine week programme. The scope of works is focused on improving connectivity and user experience across the area, including cycleway construction and extension, footway resurfacing, bus stop renewals, and the installation of a new pedestrian crossing at the top of Olive Lane shops.
Our works form part of a wider programme of civils and highways improvements, requiring careful coordination to safely deliver upgrades within a live public environment. Activities include new kerb installation, tactile paving, carriageway works, and adjustments to existing services and street infrastructure to support the new layout and improve accessibility for all users.
Due to the location of the scheme, we have implemented a considerate and well planned approach to construction.
